Online Booking System - Integrating with your Website

This article advises how to create different kinds of links for the Online Booking System to use on your website.

Root URL

• Your Online Booking System is hosted on http://my.site.com, and as such your school will have a unique URL for users to access your system. This is typically structured as follows:

  • https://YOURSCHOOLNAME.my.site.com/

• This link can be used on your website as a text link or a Book Now button for example.

• This link will take users to the front page of the booking system, where they can select the Services they wish to reserve or purchase.

• If you are unsure of the root URL in use for your school, please speak to your System Administrator.

Service Integration

• It is possible to direct users to a specific Service using a Service Integration Code in the URL. For example, you may have a page on your website promoting one specific Exam Preparation Course and wish to have a link on this page to direct users to pre-fill this choice on the Online Booking System.

• Each Course Service has a unique Service Integration Code which can be used in the URL.

• This URL is structured as follows:

  • https://YOURSCHOOLNAME.my.site.com/?serviceintegrationcode=SERVICEINTEGRATIONCODE

  • This uses the “Integration Code” field on the Service - it should be a string (i.e. no spaces) and must be unique.

• For a full list of your Service Integration Codes, please go to your Services tab and select the “Courses - Portal Active” view. This will list all the Course Services that are active on your system, together with details of the Service Name, the Portal Name and the Integration Code for each Service.

Service Group Integration

• It is also possible to direct users to a specific group of Services using a Service Group Integration Code in the URL. For example, you may have a page on your website promoting your Exam Preparation Courses and wish to have a link on this page to direct users to select just one of your Exam Preparation courses from this group.

• This URL is structured as follows:

  • https://YOURSCHOOLNAME.my.site.com/?servicegroupintegrationcode=SERVICEGROUPINTEGRATIONCODE

• Each Course Service can be a member of a Service Group, which in turn has an Integration Code for use in the URL.

• For a full list of your Course Services and which Service Group they are a member of, please go to your Services tab and select the “Courses - Portal Active” view. This will list all the Course Services that are active on your Online Booking System, together with details of the Service Name, the Portal Name and the Service Group for each Service.

• To find the Service Group Integration Code, click on the Service Group and check the Integration Code field.
