Schoolworks Student ID Card Printing System Troubleshooting
If Student ID Cards are not printing, the usual cause is that the JAVA print server application is not running on the print server, which is typical after a server restart.
Step 1: Login to the server or PC where Schoolworks ID card application is Installed (typically via RDP to your Print Server)
Step 2: Double click on the Print Server desktop icon to run the Print Server application.
*If you don't see this Icon, please contact support.
Step 3: The following window will appear with the prepopulated login details.
*If the log in details are not prepopulated, please contact support.
Step 4: Click on "Add / Remove Printer" button to verify that a card printer is listed under selected printers.
Step 5: Click on "Connect Service".
Once connected you should see message "Waiting for streamed data from your organisation"
Step 6: Disconnect from the remote session but leave the print server application open
Please don't 'log off' as this will close the Print Server Application.
Further Troubleshooting
No internet connection
If there is no internet connection to the Print Server you will see the following message:
Please check internet connection and DNS resolution is working correctly, or contact your network support.
Incorrect Login URL
Please make sure you are using the correct login URL, which is https://login.salesforce.com, if the URL is incorrect your will get the following message
No Printer is listed
If there are no printer(s) listed in available printers list, you will see the following screen.
You will need to perform following checks:
- Check if the Printer is on and is connected to the LAN.
- Check if the card printer driver is installed on the Server.
