Depending on your permissions, it is also possible to edit fields in a list view.

You can edit individual records by hovering over a record until the pencil shows, then clicking on the field to open the field edit dialog:

Edit multiple records=

It is possible to update multiple records in one go by ticking the records you would like to edit in the left hand column:

then ‘Save’ your changes:

Notes

  • Your user will need ‘Edit’ permissions to be able to edit the field

    • See your systems admin if you need these

  • If a Record Type exists on your records, you need to FILTER on that record type in order to be able to Edit fields

    • This is a common reason why you won’t see the editing pencil

  • Can’t Undo

    • You can’t ‘undo’ your edit, so when doing a bulk update be super careful

  • No labels
